What equipment do I need?
REQUIRED:
Barbell, weights, kettlebells or dumbbells, pull-up bar, and a squat stand or power rack.
RECOMMENDED:
Medicine ball, variety of bands, rower or air bike.
Is this for a beginner?
We believe all people NEED strength and conditioning, however, it is relative to the individual and we do program options for different levels of fitness. TrainFTW is designed for the individual who has an active life and doesn’t want to fuss with how to program their own workouts. While a large part of our community is Firefighters and outdoor recreational athletes if you’re a beginner and ready to put in some work we have you covered.
Do you have a discount for first responders?

Does Matt really do this program himself?
Yes! This program was created out of Matt’s need to have his own programming to keep him fit for his career as a firefighter and his second life as a recreational mountain athlete.
Previous examples of training focuses:
January 3rd 2022 - March 13th 2022: Build indestructible legs with a side of pull-up capacity.
October 2021 - December 2021: 2k Row/1 Mile run, complimented with Olympic lifting skill work.
